Chocolate Mint Squares

1. Chocolate cake layer:

   1 C sugar

   1/2C butter

   4 eggs beaten

   1 C flour

   1/2 tsp salt

   1 16 oz. can chocolate syrup


Cream butter and eggs. Add other ingredients. Pour into

greased 9X13 pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool.


2. Mint Layer:


   2 C- 10X sugar

   1/2 c butter

   3 Tbs creme de menthe


Mix together and spread over cooled cake. Refrigerate -

Must be really cold and set!


3. Glaze:


   6 oz pkg. chocolate chips

   6 tbsp butter


Mix and melt glaze ingredients. Cool a bit and spread over

mint layer.

Refrigerate and let set till room temperature before cutting

into small squares
