Never Fail Pastry Crust

  •    2 1/4 cups flour

  •    ¼ t. baking powder

  •    1/8 t. salt

  •    1 1/8 cups Crisco or softened butter

  •    1 egg

  •    1 ½ T. cream

One 9-inch pie crust

Sift flour, baking powder and salt.  Cut in shortening.  Beat egg and cream together.  Add to flour mixture.  Mix tightly until dough forms a ball. Press dough into pie dish.  Prick sides and bottom of dough with a fork.

Bake (preheated) at 400-degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.  Cool before filling.
